Sometimes while recording it’s useful to pause. Here are a few examples:
- Taking a Break
Especially during long recordings, you might pause to rest your voice, hydrate, or regain energy. - Technical Adjustments
To fix audio/video issues, adjust lighting, reposition the camera, or check the microphone. - Script or Outline Check
If you're following notes or a script, pausing gives you time to review the next part without fumbling on camera. - Environmental Interruptions
To wait out noise (e.g., sirens, construction), unexpected interruptions, or people walking into the room. - Changing Scenes or Props
If your video requires different backgrounds, clothing, props, or camera angles, pausing lets you transition smoothly.
Here’s how to access the Pause/Resume button in Zight:
Go to your recording control. It looks like this:
Video Recording Menu
Click on the red icon to the left, and a sub-menu will appear:
Video Recording Sub-Menu - Pause
Click on the Pause button. A pop-up will appear showing the paused recording.
To unpause, just click Resume.
