How do I Enable Do-Not-Disturb Mode? 🔕 (Mac only)

  • Updated

Zight’s new “Do-Not-Disturb” mode allows you to automatically mute notifications throughout the duration of any ongoing recordings - thereby protecting you from any unwanted disturbances in the form of desktop notifications!

To activate this feature, access your Zight Preferences (Command + ,) and check the Do-Not Disturb box like this:

Your first time doing so, you will be alerted that permissions must first be granted.

Upon clicking “Ok,” you will be taken to your System Preferences folder ‘Security and Privacy.’

Give Zight permission to mute desktop notifications by checking the box labeled ‘System Events.’

You can also enable permissions, by clicking Mac System Preferences, then accessing your Zight Preferences (Command + ,) and giving permission to System events.

Finally, click back into your Zight Preferences tab and, once more, check the box labeled “Do Not Disturb: Hide system notifications while recording.”
