Overview
Learn how to prevent the Zight application from automatically launching when you start your computer. This guide is for both Mac and Windows users who wish to manage their startup apps for improved boot performance and control over their desktop environment.
Steps
-
Disable Zight on Mac
Open the Apple menu by clicking the Apple icon in the top-left corner. Navigate to System Settings (or System Preferences, depending on your macOS version) → General → Login Items. Find Zight in the list, select it, and click the minus (-) button to remove it. This prevents Zight from launching automatically when you log in.
-
Disable Zight on Windows
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager. Go to the Startup tab. Locate Zight in the list, right-click it, and choose Disable. This ensures Zight does not start automatically when your PC boots up.
Tips & Best Practices
- Regularly review your startup apps to optimize your computer’s performance.
- Keep your operating system and apps updated for the latest performance improvements and security patches.
Troubleshooting
- Zight still appears on startup → Double-check that you have removed it from the login items or disabled it in Task Manager.
- Unable to find Zight in the list → Ensure that Zight is installed and configured to start on boot; otherwise, it may not appear.
