- Avoid scheduling meetings or asking for screenshots
- Collect async updates, feedback, or walkthroughs
- Make communication easier for non-technical users
You can create Request Video links from the Zight web dashboard, Mac app, Chrome extension, or Windows app.
Steps
-
Create a Request Video Link
In the Zight dashboard, click on Request Links in the left sidebar.
Click New Request Link and name it (optional).
Copy the generated link.
-
Add to Your Email Signature
Go to your email client (e.g., Gmail, Outlook) and open your Signature Settings.
Paste the Request Video link into your signature with a clear call to action, such as:
- “Need to show me something? Click here to record a quick video.”
- “Have a question or issue? Send me a screen recording.”
Save your signature.
Now anyone who sees your email can respond with a screen recording—no sign-in, no download.
What happens next?
- When someone clicks the link, they’ll be taken to a browser-based recorder (no sign-in or software required).
-
Once they finish recording, the video appears in your Zight dashboard under Request Links.
- You can watch, download, or share the video as needed.
Tips & Best Practices
- Customize the Request Link for different use cases (e.g., “Send bug report,” “Share testimonial”).
- Use with Zendesk, chatbots, or ticketing tools for even faster workflows.
- Videos are automatically stored securely in your dashboard—no need to chase down files.
