Capturing screenshots is a crucial feature for both professional and personal use, aiding in documentation, presentations, and quick information sharing. Zight offers versatile methods to capture screenshots, tailored for Mac and Windows users, by using hotkeys or the app interface. This flexibility ensures you can choose the method that best fits your workflow.

Steps

  1. Using Hotkeys on Mac

    Access your shortcuts page to create or view a shortcut for taking a screenshot. Click the Zight Icon, select to enter the Preferences menu, then select Shortcut from the header.

  1. Using Hotkeys on Windows

    The default shortcut is Alt + Shift + 5. Visit your shortcuts page in the app to customize your actions as needed.

  2. Capturing via the App

    Once Zight is installed, access the app from the System Tray or Menu Bar. Click the Zight icon and select the screenshot or capture option.

  3. Fullscreen vs. Selected Region

    After initiating a screenshot, choose between capturing the full screen or a selected region by clicking once for fullscreen or dragging your mouse over the desired area.

    Your screenshot is automatically uploaded to Zight's secure cloud, and a link is added to your clipboard for easy sharing.
