Steps — Mac App Editor

Open Annotation Tools
Open the Zight desktop app. Click to the right of the video thumbnail (note: GIFs are not supported) and select the Annotate icon, or click the ellipsis (three dots) and select Annotate.

Select Video Segments
Use the selectors on either side of the video to choose which parts you want to Trim or Cut. Adjust the selectors to highlight the segments you wish to modify.

Save Your Changes
Press the Save button to apply your changes and automatically copy a shareable link to your clipboard.
Steps — Web Editor

Open the Video Editor
In the Zight web app, click on your video and select the Edit button.

Trim Your Video
When the editor opens, slide the handles at the beginning and end of the timeline to set the section you want to keep.

Apply Changes
Click Done in the top right corner to save your trimmed video.
Tips & Best Practices
- Preview your video before saving to ensure accuracy.
- Use trimming for removing sections at the beginning or end, and cutting for removing parts from the middle.
- Keep original copies of your videos in case you need to revert changes.
- Use the shareable link to quickly distribute your edited video.
Troubleshooting
- Video not loading? → Ensure your internet connection is stable and try reloading the page.
- Cannot find the annotate or edit option? → Make sure you are selecting a supported video file.
