Overview

Zight provides different user roles to cater to various organizational needs, including members, admins, and view-only users. This structure allows teams to collaborate effectively while ensuring that permissions and access are appropriately managed.

  • Members can create and share content using various Zight applications.
  • Admins have additional privileges for managing settings and users.
  • View-only users can access and share content without creating or editing capabilities.

Types of Zight Users

In Zight, there are three distinct user roles: members, admins, and view-only users. Each role has specific permissions and capabilities suited to different user needs within an organization.

Members can create content using the desktop applications, iOS app, Chrome extension, or the upload icon in their web dashboards.

Admins can perform all member actions and additionally configure custom domains, logos, and manage S3 buckets. They can also invite members and manage documents.

View-only members can view shared collections, comment on content, and access team content via the web dashboard at https://share.zight.com/dashboard.

View-only members do not have access to create content or use the desktop application, making them ideal for users who need to stay informed without contributing content.
