The most common reason for this issue is that the firewall or antivirus blocking the connection. On most computers, there is no need to make any firewall configuration. If your browser is correctly navigating to https://share.zight.com/dashboard, then Zight for Windows should be able to use the same connection.
You can test this by visiting https://share.zight.com/dashboard
If the issue seems to persist, here are several solutions you can try:
Whitelist Zight in your antivirus software.
- Go into your antivirus software (McAfee, Norton, etc) and look for a section that lets you whitelist the Zight app located at C:\Program Files(x86)\Zight\Zight.exe
- Whitelist the App located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Zight\Zight.exe on your firewall.
If you have any trouble finding the option to do this, search on Google for your antivirus or firewall solution and find documentation that outlines how to whitelist an app.
