Using Zight Keyboard Shortcuts

Desktop App Shortcuts

When you are capturing or recording, you can control the app with these keyboard shortcuts.

 

On Mac

You can change certain hotkeys by opening the Zight icon, or using the shortcut CTRL + OPTION + C, then selecting the gear icon, preferences, and shortcuts.

You can also quickly look up and edit shortcuts by clicking the Zight icon, then clicking More. There are additional shortcuts located in the Zight icon, in the ellipsis, or three dots on the right side of the content; however, they are not able to be edited.

On Windows

You can change certain hotkeys by opening the Zight icon, then selecting the gear icon, settings, and shortcuts.

Chrome Extension Shortcuts

You can view these shortcuts by clicking on the Chrome extension icon, then ‘Screenshots’ or ‘Record.’

Watching Videos in a Web Browser

While watching a Zight video in the web browser, you can control playback with the following shortcuts:

  • Toggle Play/Pause = Spacebar/Play button
  • Seek forward 10 seconds = Right arrow
  • Seek forward 10 seconds = Left arrow
  • Increase and decrease volume by 5% = Arrow up/down
  • Toggle Full Screen = F key
